Amanohashidate is a scenic spot located in the northern part of Kyoto. On the sand bar, which separates the Aso Sea in the Sea of Japan and Miyazu Bay, about 3.6 kilometers in length, there are about 8,000 pine trees on the street. It is listed as one of the three most beautiful sights in Japan alongside Matsushima (Miyagi Prefecture) and Miyajima (Hiroshima Prefecture).
